No. The only thing Gen AI has generated me is a stress ulcer because in my day job it gives people wrong answers that send me on wild goose chases or cause some sort of argument.
That’s not even getting into all the ethical/environmental issues, I know. But even if those are fixed, I still wouldn’t use it. Not just because this vendetta runs deep but because art needs real experiences and real life in order to exist.
That’s not why I started live streaming on Twitch, but I will admit that it’s a perk. If you don’t want to take my word for it, you can watch me work in real time.

Technically yes and technically no. Minx and Midnight were born to a pregnant stray cat that wandered onto my best friend’s home. My friend took care of Mama Cat, and I fell in love with my boys.
It’s a beautiful story, but that makes them hard to classify. They aren’t from a breeder, but they’ve never known a day of hardship or uncertainty. (other than dinner occasionally being a little late)

I don’t feel super confident giving recommendations, but my laptop for streaming is an Acer Nitro v15. I use a Fifine microphone. Other pieces of tech are odds and ends. I don’t have much in the way of brand loyalty.
And I eat a lot of Trader Joe’s meals. Not that you asked, but I do feel compelled to confess.

For writing books, short stories, and most things, I use LibreOffice
For podcast scripts, I still use Google Docs because I need to move them easily.
For audio editing, I use DarkAudacity but Audacity itself is good. I just like the darker screen/aesthetic.
For podcast hosting, I use blubrry.
